Wireless Networking

In addition to the traditional LANs and WANs offered by DataCare Solutions, our experienced engineers are available to design, plan and configure Wireless Local Area Networks (WLAN) and Wireless Bridges (LAN to LAN).

Wireless networks operate without the physical restrictions of cabling and, though they can be a little slower than hard wired systems, the set up costs can be a lot cheaper. Wireless LANs are particularly useful where conventional cabling is difficult or undesirable such as older buildings or temporary sites. Where customers operate from a number of buildings where a 'line of sight' is available, wireless bridges can also be utilised to create links between LANs.

Under normal circumstances DataCare Solutions will always recommend 'hard wired' switched networks. However, wireless solutions do provide a valuable alternative where difficult circumstances exist.
