Voice over IP

VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol) is a way to communicate by phone using the Internet as the transmission method. The system connects you to every other type of phone including mobiles whether they utilize VoIP or not.

Your voice is converted by the VoIP enabled phone into digital packets for transmission over the Internet. If a call is made to another VoIP phone the opposite occurs at the other end. If calls are made to mobiles or landlines the VoIP providers gateway decodes the call delivering it as a voice call.
